Q: What is Listomatica.com?
A: Listomatica.com is a free online poll service that lets anyone create their own free poll and share it with their friends. Just click the "Create!" button on any page to make your own poll. Once your online poll has been created, you can share it with your friends by emailing the link we provide.
Q: I can make a free online poll with Listomatica.com? What's the catch?
A: No catch. We just thought it would be cool to see what kind of polls people thought up. We hope you enjoy creating and participating in all of the free polls you find here.
Q: How do I make my own poll?
A: Just click any one of the big "Create!" buttons you see all over the site. If you don't see any giant "Create!" buttons, get your eyes checked, then use this link: Make my own poll
Q: Do I have to give you my email address to create a poll?
A: No. We never ask for your email address. In fact, we don't send any emails to anyone who uses our free service. You create the polls, and you can tell your friends about them. Since we leave that to you, everyone's email address remains private.
Q: How do I share my poll?
A: Not one for details, are you? After you create a free poll, we give you a special web link (URL). You can send the link to anyone you want to have vote on the poll.
Q: Will you spam my friends if I share my poll with them?
A: Never. Once again, we don't collect email addresses. When you create a poll, you get a URL (web link) that goes directly to your online poll. You can send your free poll link to your friends, co-workers, enemies, etc.
Q: Can I make my poll private?
A: Polls are public by default, but you can now make them private. Private polls will not show up on the New Polls, Random Polls, or Popular Polls screens. If your poll is private, only people with the unique poll URL you are given will be able to vote on your poll.
Q: Will anyone who sees my poll know I created it?
A: No. You can create polls anonymously, or you can leave your name, your initials or whatever you like. It's fun to see your name by your poll, though!
Q: Why can't I create a poll with more answers? Is there only one type of poll?
A: We're working on adding new types of polls to the Listomatica.com service. We thank you in advance for your patience. We can say that we think everyone will love some of the things that are coming soon.
Q: Any rules?
A: Listomatica.com was designed to be family and kid-friendly, so please keep your polls clean. We will not tolerate polls that promote hate, racism, graphic sexual content, profanity or any other type of offensive or vulgar content. We reserve the right to remove any poll that violates these terms.
Q: Why aren't more people voting on my poll?
A: While you can just create a poll and just hope people vote on it, we recommend that you actively promote your poll(s). There are many ways to promote your poll. Post a link to your poll on your website or blog, or email the poll URL to your friends.
Q: What kind of poll should I create?
A: The beauty of Listomatica.com is that you can create any poll you want. Create a poll to ask your friends which outfit you should wear, or setup a poll to help you decide where to eat or what movie to go see. You can also create polls about current events, sports, celebrities, issues, etc.
Q: Does Listomatica.com offer any other services?
A: Funny you should ask! We're currently beta testing a syndication feed that will let you host a Listomatica.com poll on your own site. The data is hosted on our servers, but the poll and the results appear on your website! More can be found here: Free online poll syndication program
